Junior Great Books
Join us as the Detroit Public Library begins its 48th year of Junior Great Books this Saturday, September 15, 2012. The program encourages students in grades 1-12 to participate in "Shared Inquiry" discussions lead by adult facilitators trained by the Great Books Foundation. The Junior Great Books program meets for seven Saturdays from September 15 until December 8, 2012. Students must read the assigned short story selection before each session.
For more details, please call Children's Library at 313-481-1409 during Main Library hours; Tuesday-Wednesday, Noon-8:00 p.m. and Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 10:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. Participants can register and purchase the grade appropriate book for $17.00 at the Children's Library Detroit Public Library - Main Library, 5201 Woodward Ave, Detroit, Mi 48202.
