2013 Noel Night

Saturday, December 7, 2013

Join the Detroit Public Library for joyful, holiday fun and activities! We will provide free cider, doughnuts and GOOD Cookies® (while supplies last) and a hot DJ spinning holiday hits for you to dance those calories away. Santa Claus will also be 'in the house' to listen to kids' requests and to take photos.

Exciting events include a headlining performance by the Martha Redbone Roots Project in our newly renamed, "Clara Stanton Jones Friends Auditorium!" For all book lovers, we will host a Holiday Book Sale by the Friends Foundation to benefit our Summer Reading Program.

Exhibitions include Honoring the Legacy of Clara Stanton Jones and The Dale Rich Collection's 150th Anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation. Tour through our Open House for the 70th Anniversary of our E. Azalia Hackley Collection featuring African Americans in the performing arts, or just stroll through their beautiful building and enjoy the holiday atmosphere.  For details, please visit www.detroitpubliclibrary.org or call 313-481-1339.
