Intro to Computer Science with Code.org
Computers in our juvenile room will be reserved for children ages 6-12 to engage with a self-guided online curriculum which introduces them to the world of computer science and computer coding. Created by a non-profit organization with a vision for every student to have the chance to learn computer science, this FREE program aims to demystify computer science and show K-8 students that it's fun, collaborative, and creative. Other sites relating to typing skills and science games will also be explored. Monday sessions will be for ages 10-12 and Wednesday sessions will be for ages 6-9. Each group will be alternating between this and the nutrition class. Plan to come for free lunch before the session.
